Motoland Launches “Ride Green, Ride Safe” Initiative to Promote Sustainable and Responsible Electric Motorcycle Use

Launching the Ride Green, Ride Safe Initiative

Wuxi, China – March 5, 2026 – Wuxi Motoland Electric Vehicles Co., Ltd. today announced the launch of its “Ride Green, Ride Safe” corporate social responsibility program, an industry-leading initiative aimed at promoting sustainable mobility practices and improving road safety for electric motorcycle users worldwide. The comprehensive program combines public education campaigns, safety training workshops, and environmental conservation projects to create a safer and more sustainable future for two-wheeled transportation.

“As electric mobility becomes increasingly mainstream, we have a responsibility to ensure that this transition happens safely and sustainably,” said Zhou Lin, Chief Operating Officer at Motoland. “Our ‘Ride Green, Ride Safe’ initiative addresses both the environmental benefits of electric motorcycles and the need for proper rider education to maximize road safety.”

Key Program Components

Key components of the program include:

  • Safe Riding Training Centers: Establishment of 20 training facilities across China, Europe, and Southeast Asia offering free safety courses for new and experienced electric motorcycle riders
  • No Illegal Modification Campaign: Partnership with traffic safety authorities to raise awareness about the dangers of modifying electric motorcycles beyond manufacturer specifications
  • Battery Recycling Program: Implementation of a global battery take-back system to ensure 100% recycling of end-of-life lithium-ion batteries, with a target of recycling 5,000 batteries annually by 2028
  • Green Community Projects: Investment in urban green spaces and tree-planting initiatives to offset carbon emissions from electric motorcycle production and distribution

Funding and Global Partnerships

Motoland has allocated RMB 10 million to fund the initiative over the next three years and has partnered with international organizations including the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) and local traffic safety authorities to maximize its impact. The company will also integrate safety features such as collision detection and emergency braking as standard equipment on all new models starting from 2027.

A Long-Term Commitment to Sustainable Mobility

The “Ride Green, Ride Safe” program reflects Motoland’s commitment to becoming a leader not just in electric motorcycle manufacturing, but also in promoting sustainable transportation practices globally.
